OK| The Oklahoma Insurance Department (OID) has approved a 9.2% reduction in workers’ compensation insurance loss costs for 2025, effective January 1, 2025, for new and renewing policies. This decrease, part of a 71% reduction since 2011, reflects lower average costs of lost wages and medical payments for injured workers per $100 of payroll. Commissioner Glen Mulready emphasized that the reduction supports local businesses by making workers’ compensation insurance more affordable, enhancing Oklahoma’s appeal as a business-friendly state. The National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) provided the data and recommendations for this adjustment.
