PR | In Puerto Rico, Hurricane Fiona caused heavy losses in many sectors. which unquestionably will bring about claims being filed by the insured and claimants with property and casualty insurers who have insured their property.
As provided in Section 3.320 of the Insurance Code, 26 L.P.R.A. sec. 332, all insurers that are authorized to write property and casualty insurance in Puerto Rico, including eligible surplus lines insurers, are hereby required to complete and deliver to the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance the statistical data-gathering form, titled P.R. Insurance Data Collection Report for Hurricane Fiona, beginning on November 15, 2022, and thereafter on or before the fifteenth (15) day of each month.
