IL | The Illinois Department of Insurance (“IDOI”) issues Company Bulletin 2024-06 to provide updated guidance to all companies who are required to submit a Network Adequacy Filing related to provider directory audits under 50 Ill. Adm. Code 4540.60. These annual filings, the first of which were due July 1, 2023, and then must be filed by April 1 of every following year, consist of two components. The accuracy of the provider directory is of the utmost importance to the Department to ensure consumers have accurate, transparent information to access providers under their insurance coverage.
This bulletin supersedes Company Bulletin 2023-10: a second paragraph about a Provider Contract spreadsheet tab has been added to the guidance on 4540.60(c)(1)-(5) to replace the previous guidance which had required attaching a copy of the active provider contract or notice of termination 4540.60(e). Otherwise, this bulletin continues the guidance previously announced.
